Simulating, studying and controlling automation processes
Discover how the Institute for Manufacturing, part of the University of Cambridge’s Department of Engineering, combines robotics and the Formech HD686 semi-automated vacuum forming machine to create a manufacturing cell within the Distributed Information and Automation Laboratory (DIAL) to simulate, study and control automation processes.
The Institute also uses a 508DT desktop machine to allow their students to work on prototyping and projects.
